Water Spray for TMIC

Postby WhiteGTB » Mon Sep 24, 2007 4:03 pm

Summer is just around the corner and with the weather heating up and it ain't favourable for turbo cars...

I was on OzLib and saw/read the DIY water spray for the TMIC.

Has anyone done this to their car?
How well does it work?
Is there a proper kit for this (@ Phat GT)?

Cusco water spray controller + Cusco nozzles + STI Spec C 12L Tank

Cusco controller = Pivot controller

You can get other setups such as hobbs switches to make it cheaper.

Ahhhh thanks Franky. Can I check the spray on your car at the next meet :?:

Is anyone interested in getting this from Phat :?: :?: I'll ask him soon how much it costs...

Shut up Jimmy..... Shhhhush.

This ain't a mod.. but more of a preventative action to reduce heat :)

I've wanted sprays for my TMIC for awhile, never knew how to go about it.. so it's good you asked about it.

I did some google for some of the gear briefly, would be interesting to see how much and how it all works etc.

The days are getting warmer and warmer, so it would be nice to have some 'preventative' measures in place.. ;)

*nods with Trieu* yes yes.. lol

Seriously though... Is it really gonna make ALL that difference with the little mods we have? Are you really gonna loose that much power/response??? I personally dont think so, and yes i am not technical 1 bit (Can't be bothered to change a light bulb).

I think i will give this a miss gents. Let me know how it goes Trieu.

To be fair, after my exhausts and whitelines now i'm pretty happy with everything done and the car feels good.

But.. every little bit counts sometimes. I'm sure it might help out if it was on a track or something, but for general everyday driving probably not.

Saying that, I am curious as to how it all connects and works xD
