Gen 4 windscreen cowl replacement

Postby maccasti » Sun Jan 19, 2025 5:30 pm

I have some parts on the way to replace the cowl for my Gen 4 2007 TBSTI.

Anyone have any tips or step through for this? I'm trying to figure out what clips I am going to need if some get broke along the way

Cheers

If I remember correctly, I’ve done this to replace the rubber on the leading edge of the cowl.
And apparently Clarke rubber sell the trim with the correct profile.
I don’t remember anything being difficult about it but maybe grab a paint pen so that you can mark the position of the wipers on their studs because the wipers have to come off to remove the cowl.
Then it’s a matter of removing the little trims at the side, and from there it just lifts off.
If not then probably the procedure is in the factory service manual free PDF download, or you’ll get some idea from the diagrams in the parts catalogue and links to those are in my signature.
So probably being able to re-fit the wipers in the correct orientation is the key.
