Gen4 Paddle Shift

Postby Lach » Tue Oct 18, 2016 5:18 pm

I'm a newcomer to this group, so hi.
I have a 2004 auto GT wagon which is pretty much stock, except for a better head unit. When I fitted this, I replaced the shift buttons on the wheel and fitted audio controls instead. Now I'm wondering if it's possible to fit the later Gen 4 paddle shift setup, so I can have both audio and shifters on the wheel/column. If so, would I need a complete column and how compatible is the wiring harness?

If you get the whole setup, you can re-wire the clock spring to suit the pre-face, then you can get the cruise on the wheel, more audio controls, and the paddles. Just requires some soldering/repinning and a bunch of reading of the relevant manuals.
