Door trim re-assembly : what glue?

Postby klam » Fri May 29, 2015 8:44 am

Guys, what is that black sticky stuff that holds what I reckon is the moisture protection plastic sheet on the door? is it some sort of a polyurethane glue or silicon?

When I removed the plastic inner lining there was enough stickiness left in the glue to reattach the sheet of plastic film without then need to use additional adhesive?
I had the lining off and plastic opened up about five to six times while I sorted out the central locking motor.
Try softening the glue with a hair dryer?
Cheers!
