Noise when turning left

Postby zane85 » Fri Oct 17, 2014 11:13 am

Hey all,
I am hoping it is just in need of a wheel balance or wheel hubs but it is a bit odd to me.

I am getting some vibrations and low but steady noise when I turn left, going straight or turning right is silent.

I would of thought there should be noise always?

Thanks!

It is just a constant hum I suppose. I come from a louder car so it is noticeable.

It is more noticeable as I am going over 60.

Sounds like a wheel bearings gone. To check that jack the car up one wheel at a time. Place hands at 9 and 3 o'clock then again at 6 and 12 o'clock on the tyre and firmly wiggle back and fourth. Now if abnormal movement and suspension knocking noises are heard only at 9 and 3 o'clock then that's most likely tie rods. If its the same thing at 6 and 12 o'clock then you know it'll be most likely a worn wheel bearing. Hope this helps.
