Post/Courier/package exhausts at best price

Hey,

Just sold my mufflers and sending them interstate and just wondering what the best way is to package mufflers and the most cost efficient way of sending them that people have found?

Im assuming bubble wrap each in own box then registered aus post?

Anyone who has sold and sent their mufflers, what sort of price was postage?

Australia post is a ripoff. Although I haven't used them yet, have heard good reports about

Good prices via online quotes, service may be a little slower (say 1 week for most interstate?) but I think thats how they keep the costs lower.

And yes, each in its own box will make it cost effective as it keeps the weight of each parcel down - no excessive lifting/weight charges.

Definitely don't send it via Australia Post, they are cheap for small and light items but once they start getting large and heavy, they aren't very competitive. Remember they also have a maximum length of 105cm.

Call around and get some quotes because prices vary depending on which zone the package is being sent to.

I would say the most competetive prices are from 1st Fleet Express, but the service is not too great. Couriers Please have an online calculator for transit times as well(http://www.couriersplease.com.au/content/view/33/99/), which may be helpful.

I have a lot of carrier names if you want them.

Prices of courier service totally depends on location of company, type of courier you want and distance between your current location and destination. Whenever I need services for Courier in Brisbane, I browse yellow pages of town and find out suitable company according to my need.
