LED Spot lights?

Postby b3nzor » Thu Dec 26, 2013 10:27 pm

I trawled through some of the topics here but couldn't find anyone that has mounted LED spot lights on their Libs, and I dont mean like BAM screw to the outside of the bumper job (that looks full retard)

I am looking to mount them behind the grill as spot beams, I occasionally drive around country NSW when I go visit the folks, so I wouldn't mind being able to see further down the road.

Obviously mounting behind the grill has a few complications I understand like maybe replacing the stock grill (07 SpecB) with something more like this http://www.japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=12352

And then sourcing an LED Spot beam good enough, yet compact enough to fit AND then figuring a way how to mount it.

So my question is has anyone done this?
If not can anyone point me in the right direction for a set of LED spotties?

What about something like this instead behind the grille? Could be a bit more streamlined and should be less noticeable / obtrusive than spotties?

Yeah I had a look at some of the bars, only I don't think they "spot" very well, more designed for spread as far as I understand. But I think you might be right when it comes to how noticeable it would be.

Im going to throw in a small 8" dual row in the center of my 3.0r bumper.

You can buy cree spot/spread bars but end of the day there only good for spread.

But seriously who needs to see a billion miles down the road anyway? Not like our eyes could see that far.
