Hey Leo, I had the same thing! That's what I was telling you about. Some of the leds are charred and two fell off...only in the driving lights. Don't feel like putting them back in there again.

Is there any chance something metal is toching part of the globe?
I've had a set of Leo's parker globes in my car for a couple of years with no problems.

Nothing should be touching the globe, it was free to move inside. It was a bit loose fitting though, it would sometimes wobble visibly with the car on - could've been the problem?

I've got the same leds in the boot and parkers and no problems at all.

I have seen cases where LEDs are put into sockets meant for normal bulbs, and dead short! Where there are wedge bulbs, some sockets have +12V on 2 sides....
If the socket looks like <o> where the < and > are contacts (one side +12V, other ground), and the o is the centre of the bulb. Many LEDs have their wires come out on opposite sides , BUT the wires wrap around the bottom and up the other side....you will get a dead short.
Also, nobody has mentioned that LEDs are polarity sensitive have they?
I have LEDs in my interior lights, only issue being one didnt last very long.

I'm running leds in my driving lights. They're from Japan - 4 months now no worries. Had the 9smd from Leo in for 2 weeks - charred and two of the smd fell off. I put the jap ones back in and threw the 9smd out. Problem solved.

I have factory xenons btw and I believe it's to do with the quality of the led. Some clearly can't stand the headlight temperature.

Also the Japanese leds are a MUCH better fit into the socket. They sit as tight as the oem halogen. Can't say the same for the 9smd. My experince has been that the fit into the headlight is crap. Doesn't sit tight and visibly wobbles with the engine running.

Im happy with everything else I have from Leo, as far as headlights go I'm looking for a 9smd now but better quality.
