Sorry, but I have to ask WHY? If its used in a metro area, IMHO, fogs and spots are completely useless except for a once in 5 years heavy fog. Its actually an offence in Vic to use them when visibility doesnt require them. The number of #$%&&* I see using them in clear weather, and even well before sundown is amazing. And as for those with red REAR fogs (Audi, MB, even Holden Astra, some Hyundai) that come on with the front fogs...GGGGGRRRRRR. Its like driving behind somebody with double bright stop lights on.

Look for a point on the dash that looks like it might take an optional switch (ie has a blank plate the size of an adjacent switch), then get behind the panel, and see if there are any wiring plugs not connected to anything, and try to find a manual with a wiring diagram. Also look under the wheel arches for wiring that goes towards the front bumper where the lights might go. In many cases the wiring loom is all the same, they just leave the lights and switches out.

I drive an urban grey wagon with tinted windows,
i want to be as visible as possible to all the other drop-kicks on the road who completely fail at driving/ merging/ parking so badly that i'm suprised they can breathe without assistance

Completely agree about the "driving lights" unless you're doing lots of night km's on remote roads

As for the problem
if you're installing driving lights, go to a 4wd store and buy a complete driving light wiring loom kit.

trying to utilise the factory wiring can be a headache if you're not competent at reading wiring diagrams
yes the plugs and most wiring is there, but your indicator stalk is not compatible so you need a secondary switch installed as said above and finding the right combination of wires can be a hassle

I have noticed these rear lights on without front or fog lights on so I don't know if they are all connected to the normal lights...

Me I have my headlights on all the time, well aware it is illegal but as Rob pointed out I'm not a fan of being run off the road and I find headlights catch peoples eyes more frequently than the car itself unfortunately. Oh and plus the amount of people that drive around with out their headlights on when its raining shits me so I'm all for everyone having their headlights on all the time.

People having their headlights on during the day doesn't bother me, fogs do (usually have a greater spread) and driving lights or high beams are just fucking stupid.
