What problems can arise from letting your fuel level get low

Postby Sco0oy » Sun Mar 11, 2012 3:20 pm

I recently get my fuel level get to really really low and couldn't find the servo station so I have to drive like that for at least 20-25mins. After that day I can see my car perform different. Is there anyway to get my Lib performance bk to itself?? Will Petrol Injector cleaner do the trick??

Cheers.

The fuel pump can burn out if it's not being cooled by the petrol, but I wouldn't think you could do that from just running low once. Would be more something that might happen if you do it all the time.

Some people claim you can pick up sediments as well if you run it low, and it gets caught in the fuel filter....but I'm not sure I believe that one. But changing your fuel filter and running some Subaru fuel additive might help? Just a maybe though.
