remove door trim in 09 libs

hey guys me again looking at changing speakers in 09 libs but do i have to remove whole trim or what? if so anyoone got pics or know where to start.

Theres 3 screws and a few clips holding the door trim to the door.

Start by taking off the traingle where the mirror is. It just pulls out (held by a clip or two)

Then using a small flat head, remove the plastic plate behind the door handle. There is a screw behind that.

Also using a small screw driver, wedge it at the top of the handle that you use to close the door. This plastic trim comes off (I found that wedging the screwdriver and levering up slowly gives enough leverage to be able to pull it out.) Just not that the WHOLE handle doesnt come out. Its just the part that you see. Half still remains behind. Once you get this off, there are 2 more screws there.

Once all the screws are removed, get your flat head (or wedge your fingers) under the door card at the very front+bottom. Once you pop 1 clip, the rest are easy to pop out.

Once this is done, its just a matter of disconnecting all your harness's (ie window switch, locks etc) and disconnect the door handle cables.

Thats it.

You cannot change the speaker without removing the door card. Also make sure you have a big enough spacer for you speakers, and test to make sure the woofer clears the window before putting the door card back on.

do we know what size the fronts are ?? speakers so i can pick some up today?

You can fit a 6" woofer and a 1.1" tweeter with no problems.

Just make sure that you have the right size spacer for your woofer.
