GX costmetic overhaul with b4 interior

Postby gxb4wrx » Thu May 26, 2011 12:31 pm

Hi guys,

Got a 2001 GX Lib that I want to fit out with the interior of a 2000 B4, is this possible?

And what alterations (if any) will I need to make to ensure the parts fit snugly.

The costmetic overhaul includes front and back seats, dash surround, gx steering wheel to B4 Momo steering wheel, door panels and gearbox surround and gearknob.

Thanks guys, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

It is possible and *should* all bolt in because they are the same chassis.
But, you'll end up with ugly blurple parts in your car.

What is your budget? Some guy on rexnet was selling the leather interior for about $500, but it would cost you another $700 or so to get it fitted by a trimmer.

That's good! i've budgeted around $1300 including postage. Fitting shouldn't be a worry. Is the gear still available?

Cheers

You might need to sign up to see the listing, but it's actually for an MY05 hatch (although a motor trimmer said they could modify it to fit a sedan) ... you might need to find out if they could modify it to fit your car?

Would be interested to know how you get along so keep us updated. As for the momo wheel, how about you buy mine (assuming you have an airbag module) and have it leatherique treated? :D Otherwise, I think there are one or two again on the rexnet forums (and one of them has an airbag I think if you need that).

What's yours out of? Should be compatible, I just have the standard Subaru airbag steering wheel.

The Gen4 seats have different rails so that won't fit without modification unfortunately.

If you can get your hands on the Heritage interior that'd be cool. Black leather without the blue B4 bits :p

B4's weren't the only Gen3 to have leather.

Look for Heritage, Outback Limited and Outback H6 Luxury models at wreckers and you'll be able to get a full leather conversion for a fair bit less than your $1300 budget (excluding postage).

+1. I can vouch for that. Although i'm still yet to work out just what edition my car is, never seen black and red leather interior in a lib before!! :P

Nice seats

Sounds like there's a few more options than I first thought; Black leather would definately be my preference.

Cheers guys
