Hey everyone,
Spent today installing a new double din head unit and two twelve inch kenwood subwoofers (tangent.. Ill circle back to it...). Anyway, I had a bit of the dash off, with some wiring exposed... Half way through last year I installed some footwell LED's in the car, and (electronic skill back then was terrible...) So the LEDs were getting removed, and reinstalled later. Anyway, I had the positive wires in my hand, and I dropped them on the metal under the dash, there was a spark.. some smoke.. and some slight hand burnage. ANYWAY, afterwards, I went to turn the car on to get it out of the driveway and I got nothing.
Turn the key, It cranks but doesn't turn on. The Immobilizer light comes on, and stays on and the check engine light flickers. Is it possible that the voltage spike made the car think it was about to be jacked or something? I cant get it to start at all now..
Ive had the head unit installed for the past two days, and it has worked fine... Today I just spent cleaning up my wiring. Other then the spark, nothing memorable happened.
Anyway, the car is a MY03 Gen 3 Liberty Automatic. Any help, or any light anyone can shine on it would be amazing.
Many Thanks
J
