Detaling and car washing techniques

$60 for 240ml (I think) bottle you need about 20ml for a regular sized car, so each bottle is enough to seal the car 12 times approx. (I'd say 9 to 10 times coz we all know that we're gonna be generous with applying it ;) )

They sell it on carcareproducts.com.au (I am in no way affiliated with the site but I found they have an excellent range of professional grade stuff you won't find in autobarn, supercheap etc. Note that they have hardly anything from Meguiars which says a lot).

Yeah, there's rarely more annoying things than having it rain the day after you put all that effort into a full detail.

Also another pet hate is right after you finish polishing just before a coat of wax is to be applied, a bird flies over and shits on your car.

The courier's ears must have been burning coz a package just arrived at my door. OK on the Optiseal bottle it says to use one Oz to protect 4-5 cars. There are 8Oz in a bottle so according to them it means one bottle can treat the car 32 to 40 cars.

I hope they aren't using a Mazda 2 series as units of measurement...

The other guys who are using this just apply 2 pumps of the spraybottle to smaller panels such as each door and quarter panel, and 3 to 4 pumps for the bonnet and roof especially as these are horizontal panels which need more protection. What I'll actually do is actually mark the fluid level on the bottle before and after I apply it for the first time to see how quickly I am going through it.

Can you tell me what ingredients are on the bottle? If there's silicon in it, only my personal opinion, but I wouldn't go near it.

I'm not saying that Meguiars are a bad product but they are def not the best both in terms of performance and especially value for money. Look at any company that spends big money on advertising and sponsorships, and the same poor value for money is reflected in their products.

It's the same reason why we are driving Libertys and not some imported rebranded car like a lot of the Holden Korean cars.

I haven't done it to a car yet either Digital, but I watched a mate clay his car and it's pretty much like using an eraser to rub out all the rough bits whilst using heaps of spray-on detailer to keep the clay wet. The finish has to be felt to be believed it's like touching glass.

The size of the clay piece is probably not bigger than 2/3 your palm size.
