Morning everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone has polished up there factory rims and if so what does it look like is it better as a DYI job or playing someone 110 a rim inc. getting rid of the gutter rash so which way is worth it over all

I did a full refurb on mine. It really depends on which rims you have, how handy you are with paint and sandpaper and how much time you have.

Remember your rims are painted from the factory unless you have a machined face, so you can't just polish them as such. You would need to sand and repaint. at $110 a wheel it sounds like a fairly good deal

Most go for a full repaint of the set, if the rashes are big, as eg the stock spec b shadow chrome is hard to match.
But the base model silver should be possible done by eg a mobile sevice.
The other approach is to buy partially rashed sets and sell the rashed rims as spares.
Posting a member profile with location model and pics would be a good start.
