CarPro Iron X - Decontaminate your paint & wheels

I have found a few references to Iron.X on the forums but I just wanted to post my experience. I got some of this as part of my end of year major car detail. I actually bought this on advice from Daniel at Waxit to remove some microscopic shrapnel in the paint. In summary I am very pleased with the effectiveness of this product and can't believe I didn't know it existed until now!

When I was washing my car the other week I noticed some very tiny rust spots on the paint surface of the tailgate and rear bumper. I am not sure where this came from but possibly when it was in a workshop somewhere. You could only notice them up really close and clay wouldn't remove them.

I ended up getting a litre of Iron.X and used it this afternoon as the first step before claying and polishing.

What I will say is that my car duco is in excellent condition already so I was very curious to see what this would show up on other parts of the vehicle that otherwise look great. Firstly I thoroughly washed the car. As my car is white, after I applied it you can clearly see the contaminants being dissolved. This formula can be used on most external surfaces of your vehicle without any issue. Just be careful with raw steel such as rotors as it may temporarily discolor. I just avoided my wheels and will do them when either when off the car or wipe on with a small sponge. There is some great FAQs in the link below.
