When you say "wash mark hiding" Are you referring to swirls/scratches?

Because a spray on wax aint gunna do shit to that.
A glaze would probably do the trick, but to apply that you would need to claybar the car first. And at that point may aswell just polish it anyway to remove the swirls.

I don't understand the questions...

Can you please answer these questions:
What have you done?
What is happening?
What do you want to happen?

I can provide example answers if you'd like :)

Would really like to buy a good buffer that is easy to use and non damaging to do some simple passes on issues like this.

I was just taking the piss as you didn't really give much detail in your question. I should have put :D this guy in. Didn't mean to tip over the apple cart.

Not that u have to use megs...

If it's just swirl marks try a wash then clay then a light polish for that application, then seal or wax, then detailing spray weekly... By hand should work with the appropriate applicators.
Or...

You are better off coating your can in man juice.

+1, it's the latest thing to do in the detailing world.

.... Waits for another thread to be created titled: “Where to buy man juice"

I suppose the bottom line is that a "spray on wax protectant for wash mark hiding" product does not exist.
If its not coming out with eg chamoied after a wash and then detailing spray applied:

You'll need to polish the paint defect out starting with a very light, mild abrasive compound, aka : "man juice" jk and only using a more abrasive compound if required.

You can do it by hand for sure especially as regards "man juice" jk but the the most expensive machine will give you an even better result in a shorter time with a greatly reduced chance of damaging the paint.
