Detail before dent repair?

Postby wrpten » Tue Feb 12, 2013 8:16 pm

Hi guys got a question for ya.

Would you advise to detail a car before you get the dents repaired and possibly resprayed?
Or would you do it the other way around?

My logic was to detail first then get the dents fixed as they will probably do cutting and polishing on the new area that gets repaired, which to me doesnt sound right.

What kind of dents are you having repaired and is it being done by a smash repair place or paintless dent removal service?

Either way I'd wash the car before then have it detailed afterwards.

Let the detailer fix them. Or do it yourself before detail.

Hi guys,

The dents are pretty bad so they will probably require panel work.

I emailed for Paintless Dent removal and they said take it to a panel shop.

Was thinking now...to get it fixed then get it detailed

I would wait for the paint to fully cure before detailing.
