Moonlight Detail - Sean's car!

Postby Alex@Moonlight » Thu Jun 14, 2012 4:29 pm

Hi all,

Been a while since this detail - apologies for not having the pics up earlier. But I've finally gotten around to posting them up here.

Sean enquired early in Jan about having his Lib cleaned up - particular some swirls he could see on the paint. I organised to give the car a good appraisal and show him over what we could do. Sean kindly dropped into us so we could light the car up for a good look-see.

Upon appraisal we found a lot of swirls and tonnes of light scratches. These really showed up under halogens and were preventing the natural shine and lustre of the paintwork from coming out. We got a plan of attack together and Sean booked in for a full day.

Here are the long-awaited pictures:

General - Bonnet swirls and marring, some evidence of buffer trails.

50/50 under natural light - wheel arch. Right side is original paint, left side corrected. Massive, massive difference.

After shot. unfortunately it was raining so we were not going to get good sunlight shots. But here she is, looking beautiful.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Sean's car sat under our most common 'Moonlight' Treatment. There is one level above which is the 'Midnight'.

In a difference to other detailers, we don't charge on the condition of your paint (ie. stages). Most of our work is swirl correction, and there are two packages to chose from. The Midnight is our top service (usually reserved and recommended for concourse condition), the Moonlight our most commonly chosen for enthusiasts and every-day cars.

Our price list is:

**********************
We use a raft of products (3M Professional, Menzerna, Meguiar's Professional, Swissvax, AutoGlym etc.) I actually could not give you the full list of our stash unless I was at the workshop and given a good 30 minutes. We gladly use the more expensive products on vehicles without changing prices. Part of our commitment to giving you guys the best possible.

We have a number of other services (engine bays etc.) and mobile detail pricing - happy if you'd like our full price list to email me at moonlightdetailing@gmail.com and I can send you our price list.

Really loved doing Sean's car! We also had Ed's car (silver Liberty) a while back and also a great car to work on.

Always here if you'd like to ask any other questions as well.
