1st wash went well, she came up very nice exept for some swirling on the bonnet which was already there from previous owner. What could i use to get rid of swirls? or should i just get it professionally removed?

Meguires ColorX worked well although i was hesitant at one stage as it sounded like a liquid when i shook it and i remembered it to be more like a cream/paste. Its probably pretty old...can stuff like that go out of date?

Thanks for the help everyone

From what Taylor and Hamish have told me, yes auto care products can go out of date.

I assume it would be like car oils, the chemicals start to settle and separate and thats when it starts to lose its quality, until its useless. I used to have a bottle of medium cut compound for my old KE70 (about 3 years ago) and went to use it about 2 months ago, took the lid off to check it and it was like a layer of water, then just chunky sand. Ew. Not a chance of using it haha!
Built not bought, it's a way of life.

A year or two should still be fine. Some products start separating after 24hours. Just give it a good shake and see if it comes out consistent after that.

Phew...thanks Hamish...It still came out like a paste, tested it on a small part of the bonnet and it seemed like it was working fine. Just to be safe i might get rid of it and get all new products as i will be cleaning my car alot more often now. Waxit.com.au & carcareproducts.com.au here i come! (Why did i ever get a credit card!)

Thanks

Tim, check out the list here for a good starters kit guide. Obviously there are many variations, but all products on the list have been recomended.

Ok heres my v2.0

this is what i am up to now in regards to products (i have so many MF cloths and also have applicator pads ,drying towels and a polishing towel)

Im guessing in a perfect world i would also have a clay kit and a good wax product?
Any other suggestions?

Thanks to everyone for the advice
