Leather seat scratch repair ?

Postby bigBADbenny » Thu Nov 03, 2011 9:56 am

I've only had the GT a week and I've scratched the drivers RH seat bolster with a rivet on my jeans :(
Dammit, the interior was mint!
Luckily it's not too deep (but quite long)...

Can anyone recommend a method, either DIY or a paid service, to either fix or minimize the damage?

I have a mate who is a cobbler, who I'll also ask, he might even have a solution/fix, which I'll post here.

Black shoe polish - rub it into the scratch, then buff it off.

Great - I'll give it a go if first filling the scratch isn't possible. Cheers!
