Postby HoFF » Wed Aug 31, 2011 6:17 pm

Hey Guys

Ive just recieved my Sti quads from Ollie and just want to give them a really good polish before i put them on.

Is there anything you would recommend to polish these up?

I have no idea what to use on them

thanks

I just use a gentle metal polish and a rag, works a treat, they shouldn't be hard to get clean

Meguiars have a chrome cleaner that I use. It comes in a tub and is blue in color.

If you don't have brasso already, go to a 'Whitworths' (whitworths.com.au) store and buy some marine grade stainless steel cleaner. Don't bother with the hardcore stuff that contains nasty chemicals, 'Star Brite Chrome and Stainless Polish' is the one and it was about $8-9 on special last time I was in there. It's pretty damn good stuff and will last forever, comes in a small bottle. Not only does it clean crud off, but also polishes and leaves a nice layer to protect the stainless steel/chrome.
