Just wanted to get some feedback on this and whether it is worth it from the detailers in our forum

Sounds too good to be true.

Opticoat soon to be called Opti-Guard and opticoat 2.0 for the non professionals yes it's good. Have used it before on few cars and on my headlights after I fixed the hazing and break down from the UV. How ever not cheap and application can be a pain if you haven't/tested/applied it before.

How much are they charging you and are you having your paint corrected before application?

I was surfing and googling (hahaha) and came across this, just thought I would ask professional opinion

as per their website, one of their dealers "reflect effect" in sydney charges $450 for a medium car and $50 for each wheel

and they recommend a detail before doing this paint protection

Reflect Effect are good. It's always beneficial to get your car detailing prior to putting on a coating otherwise it will layer over the swirls and marks under the coating. Once the coating is on it will aid in helping protect the Subaru soft paint from marring with every day washing.

It sets harder then the clear coat however that doesn't mean you should still be hard by any means it will still easily scratch with a $1 per minute DIY wash.

My experience has been that OG applies the same way as OC, just be quick and do a quick 'rasky' swipe with a MF to make sure you don't have any high spots.

I bet that's expensive.
