Detaling and car washing techniques

My tyre brush was lost. Need to buy a new one.

205 easier to buffing off. 85RD was hard to buff(because of ceramic coating something?) but both of them great product.

Anyway I still prefer 205 for finishing, easy and fast product. Flawless and metallics just popping out, wet look too.

Gonna buy more in my hometown, far cheaper.

Thanks

Very nice Naldo, got before shots?

Give 85rd another go and make sure you work it until clear. So easy to buff off! Or use one wet towel one dry towel.

Another similar car but in Black color

Hyundai i30 black

tools:
Das6
Suburf pad
Megs UC
Megs QD
Zaino Aggressive clay
Megs GCCP
Reload
Megs hot n shine tyres

Work time: 3.5 hours

Same condition, rough surface because of dry dust on the paint. But claying+UC makes it smooth

Love GCCP, metallic pops out also UC, very fast to use and easy. Love Megs product..

Comments appreciated.

Thanks

That looks great Hamish. Nice work. What did you do to get rid of the swirls etc.

I used a clay bar over my car for the first time today, followed up with a wax and a polish, has come up really well, but nothing like that. I take it you used a machine polisher? Anything further than a hand wax and/or polish i have no real idea about.

This car has so much contamination so clay bar took a while but polishing the swirls is the time consuming part

Used machine polish with Menzerna 203S with white Lake country pad or Tangerine hyrotech pad on main panels and then Menzerna 85RD with black Lake country/white Festool pad to finish and get all minor holograms/swirls. Wish it was still daylight to take proper finished photos :(

Which one of these http://waxit.com.au/products.asp?cat=83 should I get and what other chemicals will I need?

Its mainly for getting all the fine scratches off from one of Subaru's courtesy car washes with a service.

Edge 6 inch pads should be enough.

Or the lake county pads.. Prefer the lake county pads. It feels more durable and great cutting pads.. Never use edge pads though.

THanks
