Hi Guys,

I've spent a lot of time researching various forums etc on how to use tools such as Romraider, Ecuflash and Learningview.'

To give something back to the suby community I'm going to offer help in the ACT to those who need someone with a Tactrix 2.0 cable and relevant software loaded on a laptop.

So if you need a CEL turned off or would like a learning view check, maybe you want to change a small thing in your tune.
Can be something simple like loading a tune that you received from an E-tuner or trying to get some logging done.

Feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to sort it out with you.

Obviously I wont be tuning your car as I'm not qualified. But I can help get some basic stuff done if you're struggling :help:

Disclaimer: I will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage, whether related or unrelated to any changes made.
I will get your OK before applying any changes but cannot advise on how safe it is to make whatever change to the tune.
As this is a free help, I will obviously not guarantee anything. You accept all risk.

As a fellow Canberran who just put a deposit down on a MY10 Liberty GT Wagon I might just take you up on that offer!

Did you tune yours or go professional?

On my previous liberty I had gone with a tune from Matt (kidotuning).

However on the gen V I have been playing around with a speed density tune myself just to learn and test things out.

But I would highly recommend Matt and will likely get a tune from him when I get my engine rebuilt this year sometime.

Id be glad to help with logging or loading a tune if you end up going the way of an Etune.

Whats prompting the rebuild? Are you toughening the bottom end or is it on the way out? If it's on the way out what sort of KMs are you sitting on?

I'd love to tune myself but time may not allow so I'll keep Matt in mind. What sort of $$ was he charging when you got your gen IV done?

Are you running an official Tactrix cable or an eBay clone?

In my case the rebuild is due to headgaskets going.

It's done around 270,000km so I'm not bothered.

Will drop in forged pistons, upgraded headstuds and get it back on the road.

Another engine will be put together after that for something a bit stronger.

I'm running a genuine tactrix.

Couldn't say what Matt charges because I don't think it's my place to say, but it was very reasonable considering the personalised service. I've seen people charge prices in the same ballpark for basic etunes via email.

I've got nothing to fret about at 120,000kms then :D

I'll contact Matt directly about price and in the meantime have a read up on rom raider.

I'll watch with interest what you do with the car after strengthening the bottom end
