PLX Devices DM-100 Touch OBD2 multi Gauge

Postby Malibr » Wed Oct 12, 2016 12:55 pm

Hi all,

I have the above installed in my 2011 Gen5 Liberty GT manual wagon.

I have it displaying air intake temperature and ambient temperature (which I believe is the engine bay ambient temperature, not the outside temperature as displayed on the dash next to the clock). Also I have seen the outside temp different to the ambient temperature as displayed from obd2. Usually somewhere between outside temperature and air intake temperature.

Do you know where this obd2 read out is taken from? (I.e. what is the location of the sensor?) I have read that it may be a calculated parameter by the ecu......

Recently the ambient temperature readout from obd2 has been stuck on the start up value. Whereas, it used to fluctuate with vehicle operation.

Also, does anyone know what the available OBD2 parameters are for the gen5 Liberty. Specifically for a 2011 Gen5 Liberty GT manual wagon.

Cheers.

Air temperature is measured at the airflow meter on the airbox :)

Hi Matt,

If that is correct does that mean that my MAF sensor is either dirty or on it's way out?

Just confirming......is the Air intake Temp taken off a sensor on the manifold?

Hi Matt,

Were you referring to Air intake Temp being measured at the airbox?

Cheers
