cobb accessport help

Postby Jake.h71 » Thu Aug 04, 2016 2:17 pm

hey guys,

I've been looking at running a dual tune set up on my current engine build so i could switch between e85 and 98 when needed, I was thinking about using a cobb accessport but am not too familiar with them, would it be possible to load custom tunes onto it?
another thing was looking into, if i were to buy a second hand one does it have to be for my specific model or even make? are they model or even make specific? or could i get say a mitsubishi one and load my own custom tunes and run it that way?
i thought it might be possible as other aftermarket diagnostic scanners can be used on various vehicles without an issue so why not the accessport? you would think the only thing that makes it specific to each vehicle is the tune loaded onto it?

thanks in advance for your help

cheers

I heard on the grapevine that GOTITREX(vic) are now using/trialling cobb access tuning.....Might pay to send them an email and ask?

hey matt,

The ezyFlash was my alternative but obviously just due to the name i thought i would give cobb a shot.
As for my other post, Thanks for that! looks like you just saved me a lot of time and effort!
would a wrx or similar accessport work?

cheers
