Does anyone know if Matt from kido tuning is around? Trying to get hold of him, thanks

He was up here in North QLD a few days ago, and did road-tunes. He's around (incl on the forum), just very busy.

He's around. Just is inundated with emails, txt messages and tunes to do. He will get back to you. Just 'when' is the question.

I tried that contact us things on kido website.
Not even sure if it went through once I filled in areas and submitted it went to load next page and stuck loading forever, even after 5mins didnt timeout. Didnt receive any email confirming either.
I might try again tomorrow arvo if there is no email still.

I was just after a quote for e85 conversion and tune for 07 Liberty GT tbSTI, has a fair few mods thou.

Might sound like a stupid question, but out of curiosity what are the benefits of having a e85 conversion? I also have a 07 Liberty tbSTI.

A very nice increase in power over Premium ULP (even compared to 98 Octane tunes. Especially for Turbo cars and for daily driving - a big increase in low down torque.
Greater knock resistance (United E85 is 107 Octane). So more of a safety margin when tuning the car for more power.
A lot cheaper than Premium ULP (about 20c/L for me locally), although the higher consumption per km makes that difference almost negligible.
It smells good lol - I don't really get the sweet exhaust smell that people talk about, but to me it smells like Vodka .
It's environmentally friendly and from a renewable source (Sugarcane).

I am running my H6 on Caltex E-Flex with a KiDo flex fuel tune.

E-Flex is consistently 38-40c a litre below 98RON in my local area.

That sounds awesome! I might look into that, kind of getting sick of filling up 98 premium every week lol..

How much do you normally get out of a full tank after a conversion and tune? Much in difference?

On 98ron I get about 540km per tank, between 10.6 - 10.8/l per 100kms, city and suburb driving try not to drive in peak hour traffic but sometime get stuck in it.
Im expecting to get over 400km per tank on e85 hopefully around 440ish km. I think on e85 expect to use roughly 25% more as the energy content is less per gram. Yes it has higher ron and better features however the energy content is like 8900 where as 98ron is over 11000. This and the fact you need bigger injector and fuel rail/pump to tune it properly ends up using more fuel.

It'll vary between engines, but on my 2.5T I get 400km per tank on E85. That's if I run it down to 0km to Empty on the display (there's still some reserve past 0, but you wouldn't to do that regularly lol).
My driving is 75% city and 25% highway, in a regional city - so never any stop-and-go traffic. But there's usually enough traffic that I can only do the occasional hard acceleration. It's easy to get under 300km per tank with regular blasts along quiet roads.

EDIT: That's about 1/3 less than on 98 with a tune a light mods (600km was common).
And like mpoli said, to get the full potential out of E85, you do need bigger injectors. But there's really no need if you're not trying to get as much power as possible - E85 on stok injectors (just a pump and tune) is already so much fun!

There was a detailed calculation somewhere that considered Cost of Pump and Tune vs lower cost per Litre but higher consumption per km.
It's nice to spend a lot less per fill up, but the more regular fill ups and initial costs barely make it financially worth (if at all, especially if you have to pay a mechanic to do the work).
Most people mainly do it for the extra torque and power

Yeah it is, depending on how busy he is. How long ago was that - weeks or months?

He usually sends you a tune, and you drive on that until he's in your area to do an in-person road tune. Which is once or twice a year, depending on where you live.
