A blind monkey could install it. It plugs in to a plug under your dash.... And that's it.

You just need to locate your OBDII plug under the dash, and optionally get a mount for your Android Phone or tablet.

The BtSsm draws very little power when the car is off.

It's only required to remove the BtSsm if you're not using the car for weeks or months.

I know thats very simple, i should have worded it better. What i meant to ask was, how difficult is it to wire in a tablet (nexus 7)

See the first page of this thread for links to the nexus tablet install thread (third post) and I added a bom to that info.

If you are an install, electronics, programming and config nerd it should be easy!

You dont need to have a nexus indash setup to use BTSSM. You can run btssm on pretty much any android device/phone/tablet. You can use a windscreen/dash mount/cradle to hold your android device.

I got my adapter and app recently and just running it on my nexus 7 which is not mounted. I just leave it on the seat to use it for logging.

Including but not limited to Android phones, tablets, Android tv sticks, etc.

Indeed SSM over Bluetooth is as fast as the USB connection on a Tactrix.

You do: if you have OTG and a Tactrix, and the app, you can get started right now :)

Just go the easy route like I did. Brought a 5" android phone (motorola moto g 2nd gen) and just used a phone holder on the windscreen. Works a treat.
Hardest part was logging onto stupid google play store to actually buy the app

Yes it's that simple :)
The latest update allows cars and gauge sets to be backed up and restored :good:

WTB: I want to buy an inexpensive Android phone with hdmi out. Any suggestions?
