See my post above.
Follow the link and read all about kkl plugs and pre-can 16bit Subaru ecu's.
From what I can tell, full functionality comes with modding the kkl cable.

I just spent 15 minutes updating my btSsm app and added alerts for:
>20psi eg: boost creep, loose vac line
<1 IAM: fubar
>45 degrees vvt angle: ocv failure
<0 fkc: real time knock alarm
>100'c coolant temp: loosing coolant

my afr gauge has stopped moving the past couple of days, does this mean my front o2 sensor is dead?

I'm really not sure, maybe post a log in the LV or tuning related threads?

BtSsm has been updated, will post deets soon or check the lgt thread :)

I ended up buying the bluetooth version and this would have to be the best piece of Subaru diagnostic equipment out there.

A few questions.... What does FKC and FLCK stand for?

My IAM is 0.95 and I get a knock alert occasionally and looking at the logs its when the boost is about -0.9psi. What could cause this?
My idle is surging in sync with the afr cycling rich/lean and fuel trim cycling as well. Ive ordered a new afr sensor to try to fix this. Could this cause the knock issue assuming its still in closed loop at the point it knocks?

Thanks

I'd suggest making an LV and posting it on the Learning View Snapshots \ Discussions Topic.

Make a log as described here Tune, Maintenance and Diagnosis FAQ , but maybe dont whale on the car as your IAM is low (?).

AVCS can be an issue so make a log of inlet and exhaust VVT angles to be sure. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=20233

Thanks. I'll log as suggested this weekend hopefully.
On the avcs, I watched all 4 gauges and the pairs follow each other pretty closely.

With the app..are there any specific requirements for a cheap no brand android tablet?
I have a dual core pendo pad but it doesn't have bluetooth so im guessing its why I cant install the app.

An Android device with Bluetooth, running Android 4 or 5 iirc, support for rooting and OTG is a good thing for automation but not absolutely necessary, neither are multiple cores and lots of ram.

As per the info in the first post:

BtSsm plug via Bluetooth to an android device with Bluetooth and the btSsm app...

Or a PC with RomRaider Logger and the btSsm Bluetooth plug via a Bluetooth virtual port.

Or a Tactrix plug via USB OTG to Android device.

I picked up an old Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7 inch) and fitted it into the centre console. Theres a post somewhere on the forum with details about tablet installs.

Using the app "tasker" i have it set to open btssm on USB power, and sleep on power off. Works like a charm!

Member q:
If you don't mind helping me out with a few questions in regards to the btSsm,

I am confused as what the Knock parameter is measuring, is it the Knock sum parameter? How many times it sensed knocking? i.e Knock = 10 means from start of the drive it has detected 10 cases of knocking in the engine?

Also the parameters that are suggested from romraider faq that I can't find from the standard field selection on my btSsm :
Ignition Total Timing
Manifold Relative Pressure (Corrected)

Do you know how to add these parameters? Do I even need to log these?

You're going to have to use google more.
It's a knock controlled ECU as are many.
The knock sensor is like a mic on the engine listening to it.
The engine is noisy but some knock is phantom, preemptive or just plain pinging from not enough fuel or too much boost etc.
So look at the instances of knock in relation to other parameters.

Is the knock off boost at low load etc? If so it might not be pinging...

= timing
= boost

You'll have to get used to using google or please start a thread to look for help with your research & diagnosis so you can help others by example. :)

Also just ask your question in google and click search.

I'm no expert so please don't pm me for assistance of a non personal nature, I may provide an innacurate answer! :)
The answers are out there people, you just need to ask, maybe by googling a little and then clarifying your knowledge gaps here on the forum :)

Lastly, see the "google this forum" link in my sig?
Its a site specific search link eg: "site:www.forum.liberty.asn.au keyword-here"

Please dont think youre alone in these questions, they've been answered online before.
So don't give up, be persistent and search hard.
You could even learn something, I did, still am :P

Basically small amounts of correction in a learning view are acceptable as the ECU adjusts for varying atmospheric, fuel and driving conditions...
But if airflow ranges are maxed or fuel corrections are getting below the -2's or your IAM is dropping... Then you need to diagnose the issues.
Anyway take a peek at the links above and in the tune FAQ link in my sig.
The LV infographic is in that post and links back to the LV thread where the topic is discussed :)

Read the FAQ links supplied to gain comprehension of the subject then post question on the forum.
As for parameter naming AccessPort is popular in the USA and uses slightly different naming for params.
Either way googling the question will provide answers from those who have asked the same thing :)
Eg: FKC = FBKC etc...
