Tuning Companies

Postby GT08 » Wed Jul 23, 2014 12:22 pm

Hi I would like some advice on tuning options after much reading

I've come down to - Kido MSR and MRT

After reading the tuning section and the learning view topic I'm concerned that there seems to be a lot of issues however I didn't see any MSR or MRT related issues.

Buddah,

I'd like to clear this up. Brandon's car was built by MRT. It drank 2l of oil in 1000kms and had a tiny little turbo on it.

We rebuilt his engine from the ground up with a Cosworth short block and built him a custom turbo to suit his power goals and it's been making power reliably ever since.

Thanks for reading....

I did they original owner had the issues as he told me, i found other issues that are not related to that issue. they stuffed up simple as that.

also having spoken to brett a few times on the phone he was rude, arrogant and a bit of a prick!!

another reason i don't like them is they use ecutec and that system cannot be modified by a non ecutec tuner, so they can potentially hide bad work in there tune

We work very closely together. This is just a very unfortunate example of a build going wrong. The actual problem was that the bores distorted and the bore clearances were rooted.

Because I and a lot of others are more than happy with their service . Everyone in this type of industry has a problem from time to time MRT may have more only because they have built a hell of a lot more over many years so averages are against them . And whenever the name MRT comes up on the forum a wood duck will raise its head and bag them out because they read it on a forum and they feel good they had a say .
