I couldn't agree more with you all, I have brought new inlet pipe (dodgy cuts on other one) , I am having a air box build to cover in pod filter. I purchased a dual port BOV today that requires installation, I have engine cover being put on, and new control arm bushing. I'm in process of making it clean lol.

I took it to my mechanic and even they said it will take some time for them to understand what the hell previous owner was thinking.

Funny to say the you don't life the MAF sensor, my car has recently stop running, it starts and idles rough and doesn't rev up when driving with splattering and choking. And all I touched was maf piping and battery.

JEM engine management in Sydney previous owner got it tuned. It's a canberra car now. I know I have got previous cars tuned and they wouldn't think of touching something this dodgy

Please share your insight into my mistake?

I didn't think they were so pms... Pulled it off, put it on = car shitting itself.

When it comes to this... I know very very little, and seem to be good at learning the hard way :p

Any ideas on why the MAF sensor has had a freak out and my best option to getting my car running again?

If it was disconnected whilst the car was on it will trigger a CEL.
Clean the MAF with maf cleaner and make sure its reconnected properly.
Rotate it to vertical and make sure its pointed in the right direction for airflow.
Best bet for running the car at all is to do as I suggested previously with the comp outlet to IWG actuator hose to limit it to wastegate pressure.
As a temporary measure whilst getting everything else sorted.
Then mount the BOV to the boost piping and BOV return properly and connect the vac line for actuating it.

Buy one or borrow someone who is experienced with a Tactrix to get a learning view and a log of the car and see what other CELs.
Then find a tuner, eg Matt or Eric to delete the Ecutek if it has it and get it tuned.

Stay off boost till you know its safe.
See the pre tune link in my sig? Have a read.

Where are you Dylan? Maybe a local member could help?

Thanks heaps,

I'm located in canberra. I have used ESP racing before.

I went and brought a dual port BOV yesterday, but didn't want to fit until I have the car running smoothly again.

Its part of getting the car running smoothly at all.
Got pics? Link?

Something like this should go straight onto your existing piping...

Image

With any luck the trumpet can be removed and blocked off for stealth operation...
The lower port is the inlet and goes on the fmic piping, the port on the left goes to the black bov return hose, and the little port on top is hooked up to the vac reference from the inlet manifold. So look for a small port or hose thats also blocked off.

Yeah it looks very similar to that, it's a dual port turbo smart BOV with a trumpet you can block off :).

Yeah sorry when I said get running smoothly first I just ment getting maf sensor worked out because ATM it doesn't really drive above 3 grand revs :/. Once fixed I can then fit and adjust it as need be :).

Would I need to disconnect battery and re connect after moving maf sensor because I have moved it to "correct" spot, but doesn't seem to help the cause.

With the fmic I believe it should fit fine.

Bear in mind I don't own a engine cover lol. But the BOV sits low down in my mock fitment

So you're likely to need quite a bit of troubleshooting with this.
I wouldn't drive it if you can help it.
And not over 3k rpm is a good idea too.
Is the cruise control indicator on the dash cluster flashing?
