Machine I have tested this all on is a Windows 8 64bit OS

Drivers I have used were installed from

Applications Installed

ecuexplorer - didn't get it working (probably was before i had the diagnostic cables plugged in)

ecuflash - didn't get it loading a dll file, no troubleshooting done yet

Connecting Diagnostic Cable

pull back carpet



pull up cables and connect cables



Once all done

Fireup RomRaider first to test that configuration is correct - should see 'sending INIT to ECU' in bottom left of application.
Close RomRaider

Reboot Computer
connect cable to car
connect USB to COmputer
Turnn ignition to ON
Fire up RomRaider
Select values you would like to LOG

something that I would need a little clarification on - is the engine light supposed to flash while the diagnostic cables are in?

it has returned to normal though once i disconnected the diagnostics cable.

would this mean to log while driving the flashing light is expected?

My Airbag light turns on when I have my Tactrix cable connected, it's perfectly normal (at least on a Gen 4)

I have my Vag-Com working in Romraider and LV, but it's a no-go for all the versions of ECUflash that i've tested so far.

I've got a Tactrix on the way anyway.
