ECUFlash won't start

Running on Vista with Openport 2.0 ECUFlash will not launch. I just keep getting a message saying "ECUFlash.exe has stopped working" followed by "A problem has caused the application to stop working".
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, running as admin, downloading again, cable plugged in, cable unplugged, etc. RomRaider starts and runs fine and I can log but no go on ECUFlash.
Any ideas?

Have you tried an older version of ecuflash? Or searching on the tactic forums?

Do you have the correct java version installed Adrian?
Runtime errors occur if not
Failing that, it may be vista related maybe (a recent update or something??)

Latest version on Tactrix site is bugged/sh!t due to importing CAN Diesel and BRZ/86 stuff.
Had same issue setting up my new laptop with it. Gave up and went back to 1.43 in mean time

Went back and DL'd 1.43, from and Evo site, and bingo up and running. Thanks again for the help.
