I'd like to see 105mph to be convinced, but 103 will be impressive for just a "dumped" car.

As far as time and power relation - I'm comparing to a nearly identical car - and to boot it's auto vs auto. In this case, the variables are few

Agree, if we compared different setups/makes of cars with the same power etc, then we'd just be wind-bagging.

Actually pretty excited to see the result...if this thing really makes 200kw on ze auto - the results will speak for themselves :D

Okay, so the MY10 gen V in this equation has the following:

K&N Panel Filter
Custom 3" Dump w/ relocated 100cel cat onto 3" front pipe. Stock back half exhaust.
TH dyno tune (195kw, running 17.6psi peak on 98ron fuel).
It will run full weight, with ~110kg driver and plenty of fuel, making total weight ~1680kg.

Please post up the full specs for the 'nearly identical car'. Not wanting to continue the sh!tfight, just want to be as close to apples Vs apples as you say it is.

Unfortunatley I couldn't run tonight, due to the rain washing out the drags.

ET can never be associated with power as a direct correlation (excluding the obvious such as saying a 200kw gen 4 can do 10's)

Variability in something as small as timing of shifts can affect the ET.

Trap speed however - unless something happens right at the end of the run (rev limit or boost cut or engine failure) then trap speed is pretty consistent between two same powered cars

That's a shame. Next time then!

The other car is Brett's car (on2youliberty iirc?), the one you were comparing to also. He ran a 101.7mph

Matt is saying yours has a bit more grunt, the question is - just how much more :)

Ah yep, sweet. That's the car I'm comparing mine too as well. Only real difference is the design of the dump/front pipe. I'll probably head out to my 'private test track' tomorrow and see how the 0-100 feels. I had a bit of a muck around earlier, and it certainly feels quicker now. How much, I'm not sure. But after running 98.x mph last time out, it feels noticeably stronger up top. If I was a betting man, I'm thinking it'll go 13.5x @ 102 give or take.

If we had a few same mod, same platform, same choona gen5s run the 1/4 (and we have had that :)), then we could start to correlate power directly with times. We're not just discussing power in this case, we also know the full mods (and what times/mph they get).

When mods are that similar, and assuming multiple runs to eliminate mistakes (even though - auto 8) ), power becomes the deciding variable.

Now, I know you agree, because you do this also:  :air_kiss:

Try slipping it at 4500rpm and then pouncing on the loud pedal.

With your mods Ryan you should be running a 12.4-12.5 @ 110-114mph

That's from a baseline established figure though

Ie I know what Ryan ran last time

Now doing the same across different cars and drivers is not that simple

Easy one - two brothers own a race car

One cracks 8.1/8.2 all day every day. Other one in the same car can't crack 8.5

Go figure

Hehe, we have a baseline figure for the driver/car as well - redbucket even posted it just above your post. He ran a 13.9 at 98 odd mph without the dump. :D

8 seconds....that's insane!

Wo wo wo!! Dont drag me into this! (Yes, pun intended)

Lets not also forget I was a major drag n00b...in fact I still am.

1st run = 14.1 @ 105.5

2nd run = 13.9 @ 107.4

3rd run = 13.7 @ 109.0

4th run = 13.5 @ 112.8

So as you can see even with the same (inexperienced) driver, times can vary.

In runs 1 and 2 I changed into 5th gear, whereas in 3 and 4 I held out and crossed in 4th gear.
