Boost leak pressure tester. Lets make one! (Mel)

Postby bigBADbenny » Wed Jan 09, 2013 1:02 pm

My Throttlehapy/Kido tuned Lib is running great and I don't believe I have any leakage right now.

BUT

Making a boost leak pressure tester is really simple, would anyone like to assist or advise me making one for use by local members?
I'll dig up the how-to I saw on Nascioc or LGT...
Making it is easy, I'd mainly want a little assistance using it - so I had the right bits of the car removed or sealed off and so I wasn't going to e.g. blow out the camshaft seals etc...
I'd probably test my car for fun when the AOS is being installed and I'm cleaning the TMIC etc...

Just putting it out there. 8)

Anyone got an old pressure gauge/plumbing supplies/air fittings to donate?

Not quite that high! Vbg1 is too accurate for some ;-)
So easy to make one of these testers I'm like, why not?
