I'm leaning towards putting it in the glove box, outta sight when not required, otherwise in a PROVA air vent gauge holder.
Both choices inspired by Bruce. In the end, the installer will have some influence on the decision.
Meanwhile...

Big thanks to Daniel and Joe from Exhaust World, gotta love those pragmatic Italians: the weld on the adapter is simply incredible!
Poodling around, off boost, in "i" mode there is little or no difference in exhaust note, which is great as this is a family hauler/daily.
I haven't reset the ECU and unless advised will leave as is till the re-tune...

The dump is priceless! I'm just looking after it for it's owner
The dump install with AFR bung welded in plus stock center adapted to 3" was $200, details above ^^^
The AEM Failsafe was $345 via eBay, details above ^^^! If you had time to wait, the AEM is also up there for as little as $288-ish!
Hoping the install fees of the AEM Failsafe is relatively affordable and is as hassle free as the rest has been so far...

That is some tasty welding, and the gauge is sex. I assume the AFR sensor is used only for informational purposes - i.e. to the gauge only - and isn't used for tuning? Are you using the failsafe functionality of that gauge and if so how?

Pro tip: if you are going to connect a 3.5mm jack to the 0.5v analogue output solder it before you install the loom behind the dash. Bastard of a job.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

Awesome pro tip! What do you use the 0.5v analogue output for? (have to check to see if that's a feature of the AEM Failsafe)

Steve (Sharpie) installed the AEM Wideband Failsafe gauge today- it took around 3 hours, but we did heaps of yakking, and there's the AFR boost bits to be done.
Maximum respect! Highly recommended, Steve loves a challenge, knows the cars inside out and is generous with both his time and advice.
He even took the time to clean the MAF and my HKS panel filter and donated a replacement brake bulb. I'm going back for more +1000,000.

The gauge is not yet functional as there's a few hoops to jump through regarding software and firmware updates.
Should be dialed by Monday!

Here's a pic of the sensor installed with harness routing.
Steve mentioned there was a little too much factory turbo heat shield trimmed adjacent the power steering lines so that's something I'll get a replacement for and get him to trim and reinstall.
On the hunt for a gauge holder asap!!!

The anslouge output is used for afr tuning. The tuners laptop interperates the sound signal as afr data in the rom raider software or the chosen tuning software.

Retuned by Matt for the dump and out of "I" mode at last!
Had only one CEL during a weekend of K's: cat below efficiency. Simpler to log clear and reset with the ECUds.
Just awesome, can really feel the ancient clutch slipping in higher gears, so both that and a fuel pump are next on the list.

Alas the AEM Failsafe wouldn't connect to the bootloader for the required firmware update via USB, so it's currently disconnected and having a rest (vacuum line is closed off for now) in the hope it comes good, otherwise I may have to send it back for rejigging.

Based on Kierans feedback of my latest tune, I would say your clutch is going to be smokier than a Texas BBQ.

Aiming to get 200K+ from my stock clutch

The AEM wideband failsafe meter was replaced under warranty which took months to resolve.
Lesson learned, don't buy product that is not fully supported by the vendor.
The eBay seller simply referred me to the manufacturer rather than offering to replace the product.
The whole thing was rather frustrating :P
I'm strongly leaning towards using an LC-1 & VBG1 combo I have since acquired...
