Springy Motor Tunning - 16kW only

Postby julzzychan » Thu Mar 15, 2012 12:21 pm

dear all,

Here are the graphs for the tune. only around 16-17kW gained not much. But much better in response as well as the boost as you mentioned previously :D

but i wonder why the gain is small compare to those who had up to 202kW ATW :S despite the addition modification what peepz have on their GTs

Any advice would be appreciated.

All i had for mods was HKS panel filter. phat dump and quads.

No one has gotten 200 atw with just a panel filter and an exhaust, you need a turbo upgrade to get that kind of a number! That result is decent for just having panel filter, dump and quads. You could have changed out the centre pipe too for a few more kws

Having a 3" center and Y would have given you maybe 165kw. Your nice big 3" dump pipe is getting choked by your stock 2.25" center piping with that shitty low flow resonator.

Any chance of some graphs showing power, AFR's or boost please.

That doesn't look bad Julz. Forget about peak power gains, that's quite useless on the road, but at a road speed of 90km/h, you've gained 20kW - that's over 20% improvement.

yes tangles...90+ on 5th gear is so much better responsive then before...not to mention the drag :)

but if the centre was on 3" instead of the stock 2.25" as suggested about. car would be smoover...

Louder too though... depends if you want quiet or not.

BTW - in your sig - you have a 1WD, not 2WD.

You need a happy dyno if you want to see 200...

Anyway, if u changed your exhaust from the dump back to be more flowing then that will see you gain an increase as well.

Not sure what quads you are using, but you could go a 3" center with either a resonator or a straight through muffler pending how you like noise and then split the Y to a 2.1/4" to ensure that overall diameter of the exhaust is still bigger than the initial opening from your dump pipe.
