MSR Tuning Results & Dyno Chart

Postby micko-t » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:12 am

Folks,

The family wagon has been to MSR and back and all I can say is the thing is a completely different animal now. Love it. Michael at MSR is a great bloke to deal with, even helped me out when XFORCE made a boo boo on the parts they gave me. Highly recommend MSR.

Bits:

- Kando 18G turbo
- XFORCE TBE with TCP quad mufflers
- PSR large intake pipe
- MSR tune

Enjoy the chart.

Can I ask what your thoughts are on the Kando 18G turbo and did you need a larger fuel pump?

Cheers

Jeff

nice!

Same power now @3500rpm as the stock cars peak power @5500rpm!

he loves torque.....does it kick ya in the guts?

i reckon you should hit some EL headers, grimmspeed boost solenoid because of turbo changed & deatchwerks 65c fuel pump no modification needed....

ps... deatchwerks thanks to GAMBIT......on ya Anthony.. :D :D :D

Hi guys,

Been bogged down with work for a few months so sorry for the tardy reply.

Haven't had a need for fuel system changes. The Kando definitely kicks hard, doesn't come on as early as my mate's Forester XT with STI turbo, but I quite like the fact I can putter around town without launching all over the place. No reliability issues at all so far.

Test drove a Commodore SS-V yesterday and have to say I was pretty disappointed with how it performed. Got back in my car and started laughing my head off again.

Suppose the main weakness it has exposed are the brakes. Might look at them next. Happy to take ideas.

MSR never recommends to change the standard airbox until you start chasing really big power.

The standard airbox really has no power restrictions, only the intake pipe from the airbox to the turbo.
