So worth replacing the fuel within the fuel pump assembly and cutting the old one open to look at also.

Yeah, true. This is more like a pre-filter I guess. I installed a new filter assembly when I installed the new pump for E85 (as well as the pre-filter in the picture), but I haven't cut that one open.

There's no more E85 (bio e-flex) at the Moorebank Caltex (cnr Nuwarra and Newbridge). Pumps and tank are completely gone.

Nearest bio e-flex in the South-west is Caltex Casula on the Hume Highway.
According to the guy there they have had no word from Caltex that their pumps/tank will be be removed.
So fingers crossed it remains...

That's bad news.

I've had to go back to regular petrol recently after years of e85 use because I got tired of having to drive to the other side of canberra to get fuel.

If only caltex could go the other direction and expand rather than remove eflex from locations.

The guy at Caltex Moorebank said he was surprised they removed the bio e-flex. He said it was reasonably popular and had plenty of regular customers.
I suppose that volume accounts for everything though.

Hi Gene,
I found out from Junior that the E-Flex had gone after he went recently to fill up?
Not very happy.
I plan to invest in a 200 Litre drum so that the round trip to Casula and back is at least worth it.
