Hey guys, thought that we were missing a thread to discuss all things E85 fuel related.

Anyhow here is a list of servos in Melbourne that currently supply:

Also just got off the phone to the Regional Manager of United and gave him an absolute serving for listing 'Fitzroy North' as an E85 supplier when in fact they have not been rolled out to yet !
I drove over 1 hour return to Balwyn which is the next closet servo to me to refuel !

allows you to check EFlex on the search engine and will show you nearby E85 pumps. Never had a bum steer from it.

Note that from what I can tell, the Woolworths branded servos don't sell it at all.

Awesome I didn't realise Kirrawee had E-flex! It's just around the corner from my gf's place! Mmmmm E85 tune seems to be looming closer and closer every day haha

So you have a dual tune or only e85 gambit?

Something I also wanted to ask, since the ethanol % in the E-flex ranges from 70-85%, how would this affect a tune?

E85 only tune for me, only filling up at United, spoke to the regional manager and confirmed that they will only be selling straight E85 quality and not a flexfuel like Caltex. remains to be seen, but i will still test on each fill just to be sure. So long i stick to United i'm right.
Pump fuel rom is saved so if i ever have to go back i can, but i wont

How expensive is it? And why not dual tune. wouldnt you just need to carry a laptop in the car?

Noticed you mentioned a larger fuel pump and injectors in your profile post. Can you advise what capacity pump and injectors would be required for E85 compliance. I have a 260lph Denso with stock STI injectors. Will these be sufficient capacity on a stock internal motor chasing 220kws.

Depending on whether you are going summer -> winter or winter -> summer, the ecu will need to make a 3-4% correction either way to achieve desired AFRs.

That's not much in the scheme of things - particularly if your injectors and maf scaling are not accurately tuned.

I'm up for a tune soon, so give me some numbers please.

I'm interested but need to know the pros and cons.

I read a test somewhere regarding the fuel efficiency...it is less efficient fuel economy wise, but when you factor in the difference in price between E85 and pump 95 or 98 you still end up far better off. I think I worked out I would save somewhere between $1,500-$2,000 per year with the amount of kms I do which pays for itself in the first year

Or if I'm only going to get half the range due to higher fuel consumption.

I won't rule anything out as I'll be up for a tune soon and know Revzone can and have been doing E85 tuning for a while.

You're up for about 850cc for those kind of numbers with a safety margin.

ID1000s are slightly more than that, so if that's what Anthony has ... make him an offer.
