I'm under belief all united 98 is being phased out and replaced by united100 throughout all stations. That's in line with the acquisition of the processing plant in Dalby.

Just had a reminder pop up in my phone that Caltex E-Flex switches to the winter blend this week.

Note that this introduces approx a 5% error into your AFRs, which is not significant and compensated for anyway.

Thanks for the info coyote! good info to know

I'm sticking to united e85-90 as my daily tune...some of my xr6 turbo mates are moving away from caltex and going to united also

For some reason? caltex is not embracing it as quick as united? and some of the pumps are out of order or stock is low....

I think that has something to do with United being committed to their ethanol project and Caltex having a dead weight called Woolworths to deal with.

What about E85?

E85 is a blend of up to 85% ethanol with unleaded petrol. It is used in specially-designed "flex fuel" vehicles which are widely used in the USA and Sweden, and are now being introduced in Australia. It is theoretically possible to convert a petrol-engine vehicle to flex fuel, but as such conversions necessarily require modification of the vehicle fuel management and emission control systems, an engineer's certificate is required by the RTA for any conversion. There are no approved conversion kits that obviate this requirement for certification. (back to top)

I got this from http://www.biofuels.nsw.gov.au/biofuels_faq

I didn't think we would need an engineer's certificate just to run E85??
