Caltex E-Flex change to summer blend

Postby coyote » Thu Oct 27, 2011 10:54 am

For all those using Caltex E-Flex (Gambit?), it has changed from winter to summer blend.

That's E70 to E80 in southern states.

A quick Learning View will show an adjustment in the AF corrections (if they were accurate to start with), but otherwise you won't even notice it.

Do they have higher rated E85 in other countries. I read something on a ford forum about 130RON?

Doesn't E85 mean 85% ethanol?

I think pure ethanol is 112RON.

105 is more than enough to cope with the advance required for maximum power on a standard compression Subaru engine with any turbo I've seen.
