ECU Flash in Melbourne

Postby widowm4k3r » Fri Mar 04, 2011 8:48 am

Hi All,

I'm a newbie here, I just bought a Sports Auto MY07 Liberty GT Spec.B started looking around for ECU Re-flashers.
So far I have been fairly unsuccessful finding any in Melbourne, I was interested in an Ecutek re-flash but I think I'll need to go on a trip to Sydney if I want that.

Not too sure where to go, I used to go to a place for my old Civic's upgrades but they don't do ECU flashes, they do replacement ECU's which I don't like the sound of too much.

It's got SI-Drive so I hope I can just change the Sports# Map and leave the others stock standard.

Any info would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance.

It changes the parameters of what the computer tells the engine - ignition, timing, fuel, boost to name the main points of tuning - and in most cases gains more power and better fuel economy by reducing the safety margin for error that the factory specifications have.

Yes, otherwise you'll be paying for a new tune.

What you talking bout neilgero? No such shit on this forum. We are are tight wid de GT bruvars. Hell, we even let em cruise wid uz.

HPF in Dandenong South have successfully tuned a couple of 3.0Rs, even one with a Supercharger fitted. If you do the panel filter and mufflers on a stock NA prior to the tune, that will be about the best gain for your buck. Expect at least 10% gain in both power and torque at the wheels (atw).

There are some remote tuners as well if you have the time and effort to learn logging and flashing, and invest in the correct cable. They can sqweeze a bit more, but I think they will be pushing hard to achieve 20% in NA form.
