-15% in LV would be inducing the low rpm/low load knock as it comes out of open loop at applies -15 to the Open loop fuel table (13.5 becomes 16:1) so LV should sort itself rather quickly

I don't know much about LV, but I believe that is not showing full or correct information.

Edit: What do I know, it's probably fine..

IAM at 1 is generally what you want to aim for.

Your not picking up any engine knock across the Rev range. These are good things.
Red in the Airflow section means you need to rescale your MAF as its not calculating the airflow correctly.

Thanks for reply re MAF scaling what does this actually mean is it something I can achieve? Is it dangerous ? What should values be not in red I take it?

Cheers

Having a tune done by XRT at the moment.

Been having some issues with hesitation and also surging in 2/3/4 gears.

Have done the usual things:
-New Oxygen Sensors.
-Fixed Crack in Airbox - Smoke Test done.
-Cleaned MAF - Tried another MAF.
-Major Service completed at 97000 - Now on 104000.

Tune runs pretty good on a Reset, then starts to degrade back to its usual hesitant/surge pattern.

Always run 98 fuel. Going to replace Fuel Filter next to see if it fixes the problem.

No knocking on the latest tune, but the Airflow ranges were still a bit strange (see below for photo - Laptop is a bit slow so phone was quicker)

No pinging, but there is another slight metallic rattle/vibration when accelerator is at 100% (sounds like its coming from around accelerator pedal) - Also happens on Stock Tune.

I am slowly running out of ideas. Any thoughts?

Tuner also says car is pulling ignition at around -4 degrees.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Does that look like normal WG behavior?
It's an MY07 WRX tuned by STi, the owner reports it has a stumble/surge issue.

That depends largely whats in his tune Benny. The logger doesn't log the physical angle of the wastegate, but the ECU value associated with that area - what signal the wastegate is getting.

For example when my 3 port was dying - my wastegate still logged as normal - but the car didn't make boost past a certain stage (in my case spring pressure on the actuator).

Could be that he did a pull straight after resetting his Ecu? The graph is an exaggerated version of how the wastegate normally functions to control boost. In this case it looks like it hasn't yet learned the proper parameters and is fluctuating like a newborn learning to walk (maintain target boost in this case)

RIP turbo

Its rooted. seen it before in them. Stock tune spikes and eventually the compressor blades start getting chewed by the compressor housing

Cheers, indeed I asked that question of him.
He's stuck in a reset loop :)

Cheers Matt!
What sort of supporting info do I look for?

My latest LV.

Few knocks in there which i feel may be caused by my BOV vac return hose having a split which i noticed after the car boost cut last week on me.
Will do some pulls and logs in the coming days and send them off to Matt to see if he can smooth it out hopefully.

For those knowledgeable, feel free to pick it apart/comment. I still am not 100% on what everything means, particularly the range parameters, so any info is good info for me :good:
