Hi,
We do have another cable that is supposed to fix the interference issue. I have sent one to Ric first so he can test it using some proper tools.

In the meantime i replaced on for a customer who came past and the new cable removed 99% of interference.

Any news on the FM transmitter not working at all with version 1.0.2.6? Or have I received a beta unit instead of the production version? Any way to tell, like serial numbers or batch numbers from the unit itself?

Ive got 1.0.2.6 and FM transmitter working if not without some noise floor interference issues.

Hello all,

I have found a better petrol buildings file the Australian maps for the Igo8 version on the ECUDatascan that is being used.

In Perth, my petrol buildings file only had Shell & BP stations - the new file has ALL brands of petrol (well in Perth - can't test elsewhere).

You just backup original, delete the original from folder and replace with the new file in iGO8/contents/buildings folder.

It's 10 Mb so no email BUT here: http://www.4shared.com/file/132058241/c73524fa/Australia_petrol.html

Should be availed for the next 30 days at least.

Ummm, , I found the radio/speaker button, and the FM transmitter seems to work fine!

Now on with the noise reduction.

Have you upgraded to the second revison of 1.0.2.6?
My impression was it worked BEFORE I updated, now the volume is very low.
You can tell when the transmitter is turned on, because the Stereo indicator on the radio display lights. (and the hiss goes right down).

That's not possible, nothing was changed in that regard on the latest firmware.

I think our units were delivered with the 2nd version of 1.0.2.6, so I have not updated. The volume via FM transmitter is very low, but main issue for me now is the noise.

Nope, "second" 1.0.2.6 version was released AFTER you guys got your units.

I've updated, had to to fix some other issues. I don't use the FM transmitter (beta units didn't have one). Radio interference is the same, looking forward to the updated cable with V3 circuitry (I'm running V1)

I am not confident in V2 of 1.0.2.6 to update, so I will wait till all the bugs are corrected before I take it.
