Now let me answer your question with another question: How does one go about wiring up a 3.5mm jack to the output on the AEM loom? I understand it needs to be a stereo jack. The gauge has two wires, I assume one goes into one chanel, and the other into the other..but which ones?

Mark suggested to fit the dump first to check, but if I can do it once, better!

I put mine at the 2 O'Clock position when looking to the back of the car so no moisture sticks to the sensor and then tilt the sensor tip away from the turbo to reduce the amount of cross sectional area it takes up in the DP

OK pending Crusin's contact out west, I got a quote from a Zorst shop within walking distance from my work in Kensington.

They've done 100's of WRX's but no Libs.

$200 for fitting dump, welding in the bung and adapting the 3" outlet to the stock mid pipe.

The mid will be cut if required, not the dump...

The chap can put the bung in the right spot but not angled much to the rear. Probably not a deal breaker.

I'll ask the Zorst guru, Daniel at Exhaust World, 89 Curzon St, North Melbourne, to tilt the bung forward as much as possible so the sensor isn't entirely broadside to the gas flow.

Awesome: the installer mentioned he'd fit, check and refit the dump for confirming clearance etc.

Awesomer: the AEM Failsafe gauge I ordered early Monday on eBay will be delivered today according to AusPost tracking!
I paid a little more from that vendor due to the stock apparently being local, plus their good ratings = almost instant gratification!

I don't usually rush such things, but this was too good an opportunity to pass up: dump + wideband + retune = -fingers crossed it pans out!

Having read the instructions, I'll need some help getting it hooked up and running - any suggestions?

Would any auto electrical service do? There's several in the Nth Melb area.

The alternative is to read up on boost/wideband installs: e.g.:

Pretty simple electrical install

Wild guess:
Run the lead from the AFR sensor down the transmission tunnel and up through the gearstick grommit?

Should be able to run it through the firewall? I'd imagine that'd be a little easier and a lot shorter wires needed
