Hi Team,

My LV from btSsm:

Car is a MY05 LGT 5spd Manual - 10w40 Nulon Fully Synthetic - 190k ODO
The only mods: HKS panel filter, X force y-pipe to 5" canon mufflers

After I took this LV, went for a quick 10 minute drive and notice my IAM dropped to 0.5
As well as some knock values ?

Car has been experiencing rough idle/hesitation on low rpms, struggles and stutters...
I'll take a log soon, what parameters should I be logging to better diagnose the problem and under what conditions?
Any advice will be appreciated :D

Thanks

LV fuel correction #1 maxed = you have a boost/vacuum leak.

Oh okay I will check for vacuum/boost leaks, thank you

Also could a vacuum leak cause the IAM to drop to 0.5 and cause the knock detection too?
Or just one of the many possible problems haha
Would you be able to explain to me what the knock parameter btSsm is measuring, is it knocking correction (degrees)?

Thanks for your help :)

Do you have a tune?
Probably a good idea with those zorst mods...
Also take a peek at the romraider FAQs on logging as it's preferable to log the bare minimum of parameters at least once you've established what is working properly :)
Eg seperate profiles for airflow ranges and tune related logging... It's in the FAQ... :)

Hey Ben,

Nope no tune yet
So I will log at 1500 rpm for 30 sec and repeat for 2000 rpm and 3000 rpm on all seperate logs? (in gear & clutch in stationary? or does the car have to be moving?)
Sweet I'll check it out!

Thank you

No not moving, but then also log it on the freeway as per the instructions.
Then move onto boost vac leak testing, inlet, tmic and zorst as per tune FAQ.

Since my 125K service and fuel pump replacement my LV looks different. Mechanic said it is conceivable it would require a tweak as the old pump/filter may have supplied a slightly varied base pressure? I notice some knock has been introduced to my LV but this may have been pre above work. I did some logging last night, sat in driveway, reset logs and blipped the throttle and saw the knock appear - no load. Thoughts?

It's that low load preemptive knock imho.
I'm going to reset my ECU one day soon and make an LV after each drive for a week or so, to have a record of the learning in process, to better my understanding of the process :)

If LV is pulling timing it means it is not knocking, just showing the value thats being pulled because it has learnt to pull it etc

Also, the AF#1 trims have changed so that is the likely cause on spool as the trims affect closed loop and your in closed loop in that first column

Thanks Matt, so this is normal then? The LV looks healthy or need a tweak?

Thanks Ben for the link on the light load knock correction. This one is quite an interesting article.

Taken from the following link: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/archiv ... 16998.html

'..As a result, light load "knock correction" is not something to worry about. This is a normal process that is even more apparent when utilizing stock calibrations designed to utilize a range of fuel quality.. '
