[split from] Finally an exhaust to show you guys

Postby AzzaGT » Thu Jul 29, 2010 9:41 am

Hi guys, i see there is alot of talk about exhausts for the MY10 and not a lot of action.
I have done stacks of research on an "affordable" exhaust for mineand came up with the following:

3 inch Cat back, Polished Stainless Mandrel kit from X-Force. There is not currenty any kits for the MY10 GT Wagon that bolt straight on so most will need some modification.
We tried and MY09 GT kit but it was hopeless - muffler mounts have been reversed, the "Y" section is different and the mid section is too short.
Ended up with an MY10 Forester XT kit......... yep, Forester.
Fits (ALMOST) perfectly. mufflers bolt straight in, "Y" is perfect fit. All flanges bolt on to stock CAT etc. The only thing you will need is about 300mm of stainless welded on the REAR of the resonator.

I had mine done at Right Price Exhausts, Slacks Creek QLD
http://www.rpexhausts.com.au/
cost $1100 fitted, looks and sounds NICE.

Only complaint......
It's still fairly quiet! well sounds like it grew a set of nuts but no "rexy boxer burble"
the pic on my avatar is the back end.

cheers

I suspect the vendor in question might prefer you start another thread and to be honest, I have no interest in this thread and plenty in what you are talking about.

Wow, talk about hijacking the thread. But as Tony (coyote) mentioned, you might be better off starting your own thread on the matter. That way you can peddle any product you like without infringing on another vendor.

I've only just noticed this.
I've moved these posts into the " Subaru Chat" forum for the moment. I guess it might be time to start a forum just for exhausts...
