In need for exhaust advice

Postby Swiftem » Sat Mar 19, 2016 2:30 pm

First post here, I own an automatic Subaru Liberty 2008 2.5L & I'm wondering firstly if I should change anything with the exhaust/muffler because I've heard a lot of people say automatics have a lot of drone (I've never heard first hand), and also what would be recommended just to get a bit more sound out of it, I don't want the car to be very loud, I just want a bit of a rumble to it haha

If you're just after sound, change the rear mufflers.
But be aware you won't get the typical subaru rumble as the factory headers are equal length. Un-equal length is what gives the distinct Subaru rumble/slovakian tractor sound.

Headers are un-equal on the 2.5l, no?

On the GT they are. But his is N/A.

All the Gen4 N/A are EL from factory to my knowledge.

Been considering that, have you got any good recommendations?
Do you know anything about how autos sound or if they drone?
